These terms govern your use of BrainBuilder², an AI study tutor for kids operated by BrainBuilder LLC. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

BrainBuilder² provides an AI tutor that helps learners work through their own schoolwork Socratically. It is designed never to simply hand over answers. It is a study aid, not a school, a teacher, or a substitute for professional educational, psychological, or medical advice.

Accounts and parents

Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the household: which learners exist, which devices can sign in, and how the tutor is configured. Learners use the service only under that parent’s supervision and consent. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your household’s PINs private.

AI, honestly

The tutor is powered by AI language models. It is carefully constrained, and parents can read every transcript, but like all AI systems it can occasionally be wrong, confusing, or imperfect. Don’t rely on it as the sole source of truth for schoolwork, and tell us when it gets something wrong.

Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to break the tutor’s safety rules, probe or disrupt the service, access another household’s data, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

Pricing

The founding pilot is free. If and when the service becomes paid, pricing will be shown clearly before you are charged. No surprise conversions.

Termination and deletion

You can delete your account anytime in Household settings, which permanently removes your household’s data as described in the privacy policy. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrainBuilder LLC disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If they change materially, we will tell parents in the app before the change takes effect. Questions: cjschaars@gmail.com.
