Brain Builder is your personal AI assistant. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What Data We Collect
Account Information
- • Email address (for login and notifications)
- • Password (encrypted—we never see it)
- • Authentication via Supabase
Content You Create
- • Journal entries (voice and text)
- • Tasks and goals
- • People you mention
- • Notes and descriptions
- • All stored encrypted in our database
Health Data (Optional—Whoop Integration)
- • Recovery scores, HRV, resting heart rate
- • Sleep duration and quality
- • Daily strain and workout data
- • Body measurements (if you connect Whoop)
- • We only access this if you explicitly connect your Whoop account
- • You can disconnect anytime
Calendar Data (Optional—Google Calendar)
- • Event titles, dates, times, locations
- • We only access this if you explicitly connect Google Calendar
- • We never modify your calendar without your permission
- • You can disconnect anytime
Usage Data
- • Pages visited, features used
- • Error logs for debugging
- • No tracking pixels, no selling data to advertisers
How We Use Your Data
AI Processing
We use Anthropic's Claude API to analyze your entries, generate insights, and chat with you. We use OpenAI's Whisper API to transcribe voice recordings. Your data is sent to these services only for processing, not for training their models. Data in transit is encrypted.
Organize Your Life
Extract tasks, goals, and insights from your entries. Remember people and relationships. Provide personalized recommendations based on your health data. Help you make better decisions.
Improve the Product
Aggregate, anonymized usage data to fix bugs and improve features. We never share your personal content.

- • Google: Calendar integration (only if you connect)
- • Whoop: Health data (only if you connect)
We NEVER:
- • Sell your data to advertisers
- • Share your personal content with third parties
- • Use your data to train AI models (our agreements prohibit this)
- • Track you across other websites
Data Security
- • All data encrypted at rest and in transit (HTTPS, TLS 1.3)
- • Row-level security: you can only see your own data
- • Regular security audits
- • OAuth 2.0 for Google and Whoop connections
- • Passwords hashed with bcrypt (we never see your password)
Your Rights
Access Your Data
Download all your data anytime from Settings → Export Data. JSON format with all entries, tasks, goals, and health metrics.
Delete Your Data
Settings → Delete Account. Permanently deletes all your data from our systems. Cannot be undone.
Disconnect Integrations
Disconnect Whoop or Google Calendar anytime. We immediately stop accessing that data.
Correct Your Data
Edit or delete any entry, task, or goal. Full control over your content.
Data Retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Backups are retained for 30 days for disaster recovery.
International Users
Data is stored in US data centers (Supabase). By using Brain Builder, you consent to data transfer to the US. We comply with GDPR for EU users.
Children's Privacy
Brain Builder is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We'll notify you via email of material changes. Continued use means acceptance.
